Brief Research Profile

Parul Mathuria is a leading researcher in the area of energy and power markets. Her research interests are power system restructuring, power system economics, power sector regulation and policy, economic analysis of power system operation and planning. She researches on multiple aspects of uncertainty based decision making in power sector. She has expertise in various portfolio optimization techniques, risk management, multi-market uncertainty dynamics, and integrated risk management. She is presently working on renewable uncertainty issues, their economics and impacts on grid operation, virtual power plants, virtual energy storage and retail and local electricity trading.
