Student Learning Assessment (SLA), TEQIP– III, MNIT Jaipur (March 11-13, 2019):

The Student Learning Assessment (SLA) was successfully conducted by TEQIP-III at Computer lab, MNIT Jaipur, as per the instructions given by the National Project Implementation Unit (NPIU), in collaboration with Stanford University for three days from March 11 to March 13, 2019. The main objective of this survey was to understand and quantify that how many students are learning as well as to understand the impact, the way institution functions, faculty profile and teaching practices on the student learning potential and their output. For this survey, NPIU selected two departments: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) & Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Departments, MNIT Jaipur. Under this survey an online assessment of students for two hours and 30 minutes was conducted, where total 295 numbers of students of 2nd year and 4th year participated from ECE and CSE departments. In addition, online surveys of all faculty members, who teach these students were also carried out. An offline feedback was also taken from the Head of the respective Department. The online and offline survey was coordinated by SLA coordinator Dr. Kavita Lalwani, faculty from MNIT Jaipur. Further this survey was monitored by Proctors from other institutions, SPIU Rajasthan and Government Mahila Engineering College, Ajmer and invigilators from MNIT Jaipur.

Visit of World Bank and NPIU Officials at MNIT Jaipur on 14th Feb 2019:

Officials from World Bank and NPIU (National Project Implementation Unit) visited MNIT Jaipur on 14th Feb, 2019 for the mid-term review of TEQIP III project at institute. Mr. Francisco Marmolejo, Ms. Surbhi and Mr. Satyanarayan Panda from World Bank, and Prof. (Dr.) P.M. Khodke (CPA), and Mr. Ekant Kumar (Consultant) from NPIU were the part of delegation.
All the delegates were welcomed by Dr. Rohit Bhakar, TEQIP Coordinator, MNIT Jaipur. Dr. Rohit Bhakar also presented the overall progress of institute under TEQIP III project. The contents of the presentation were focused on the key performance indicators (KPIs) of NPIU such as 'twinning arrangements', student learning and others. This event was followed by a meeting of TEQIP III cell of MNIT Jaipur with all the delegates. Visit ended with the short visit of delegates to MRC (Materials research centre), MNIT Jaipur.

TEQIP III Performance Audit of the Financial Year 2017-18:

NPIU has assigned Prof. M.K. Yenkie (Vice Chancellor) GH Raisoni University, Amravati, as the Performance Auditor for the MNIT, Jaipur during 09-11 August, 2018. Performance Auditor evaluates the Performance of the institute against the goals, targets and institution strategic plans.

Regional Orientation Workshop with Start-Up cell Coordinators:

In order to improve start-up activities and entrepreneur skills, it has been mandated to implement AICTE Start-up policy in the institutes supported under TEQIP-III for the "Promotion of entrepreneurial activities". In this direction, NPIU has established Start-up unit with AICTE and designed policy action to guide technical institutions to promote student driven innovations and start-ups. In order to meet this objective, an Orientation workshop for Start-up cell coordinators was organized on 8-9 January 2018 at MNIT Jaipur Campus.

Interviews for TEQIP-III assisted Assistant Professors (on contract) in various disciplines for Project Institutions:

Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, through National Project Implementation Unit (NPIU), is engaging Assistant Professors in various disciplines under "Faculty Reforms" as one of the important activity of the TEQIP-III. NPIU has entrusted MNIT Jaipur to conduct interviews for shortlisted applicants. MNIT Jaipur has conducted interviews for Assistant Professor (on contract) in various disciplines from 11-15 December 2017 in its campus and identified the best available talent for the same for project institutions in focus states under TEQIP-III.

TEQIP III hands on training PFMS & PMSS at MNIT Jaipur:

NPIU had decided to train the participating institutes to get hands of experience on the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) and Procurement Management Support Systems (PMSS). In this direction, NPIU had organized a training program for project institutes of Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Andaman & Nicobar at MNIT Jaipur on 14th November 2017.

Orientation Workshop on Student Learning Assessment (SLA) at AICTE Auditorium, New Delhi on 11th November 2017:

Dr. Satyanarayana Neeli, Assistant Professor Department of Electrical Engineering and Nodal Officer (MIS) attended the Orientation Workshop on Student Learning Assessment (SLA) conducted by NPIU at AICTE Auditorium, New Delhi on 11th November 2017. The objective of this workshop is to understand the necessity to undertake this initiative, for better understanding of guidelines and procedure from the team of Stanford University, USA.

National Institute of Technology Sikkim has become a part of TEQIP III for first time. To have the idea about the implementation of the project as well as regarding Procurement, PFMS and Academic matters faculty members; Dr Ranjan Basak, Dean I/C (AA) and TEQIP III Coordinator; Dr Sangram Ray, HOD, CSE and Nodal Officer, Academics visited MNIT Jaipur on 14th -15th Sept 2017.

Workshop on Review of the Annual action plans, Procurement plans and status of expenditure through PFMS:

MNIT Jaipur organised, 'Workshop on Review of the Annual action plans, Procurement plans and status of expenditure through PFMS' on 2nd August 2017. Total 82 participants attended the hands-on training workshop from 24 institutions and 2 affiliating Technical Universities (viz, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Surathkal, RTU Kota, MBMEC Jodhpur, NIT Calicut, CIT Coimbatore and many more) including mentees and their mentor institutions'. The workshop was great success for learning procurement and action plans as well as operation of PFMS for carrying out TEQIP III listed activities.

Exchange of MoU between MNIT Jaipur and CTAE, MPUAT Udaipur on 21st Jul 2017 at TEQIP III meeting (IHC, New Delhi):

A MoU has been signed and exchanged between MNIT Jaipur and CTAE, MPUAT Udaipur on 21st Jul 2017 at TEQIP III meeting (IHC, New Delhi) where MNIT Jaipur will be Mentor to CTAE, MPUAT Udaipur for implementing TEQIP III programs successfully. The MoU will provide new opportunities to both the institutes for working together in the area of academics, research, joint supervision more efficiently and meet the TEQIP III goals
