Brief Research Profile

Linear and weakly nonlinear stability analysis, two-layer flow in a channel/pipe, immiscible and miscible flow, flow over an anisotropic/isotropic porous medium, thin film flow down a uniformly or locally heated substrate, free surface flow over topography are the primary interest areas of Dr. Geetanjali. Apart from these, she also has worked on theoretical and numerical developments of the interfacial instability in thin film flows, resulting from the substrate undulations at LOCIE, University Savoie Mont Blanc, France during her visit as SIRE fellow. This study aims to develop a model for falling film flow over topography based on the weighted residual method (WRM) which accounts for the onset of dry patches in partial wetting conditions.
