Research Interests

Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, Sediments bearing gas hydrates, Remediation of ground water contamination, Valorization of mine tailings and industrial byproducts, Cold region geomechanics, Heat migration in sediments.

Brief Research Profile

I am interested in new and emerging areas of research in Geotechnical Engineering, which are aimed at addressing the problems facing the present day society, such as ground water pollution, utilization of industrial byproducts from mining and other industrial activities, energy geotechnics (specifically gas hydrates), and addressing soil stability issues under challenging conditions such as permafrost and desert regions.
