Brief Research Profile

Research involves (1) synthesis, characterization and testing of polymeric composite membranes for separation applications, (2) treatment of wastewater effluents by fluidized bed membrane bioreactor with fouling mitigation, (3) hybrid polymeric nanocomposite membranes for industrial gas separation, such as, CO2 from natural gas and flue gas, N2 from natural gas, O2 from air, etc (CO2/N2, CO2/CH4, N2/CH4, O2/N2), (4) synthesis and characterization of metal organic framework (MOF) nanoparticles, (5) wastewater treatment by packed bed adsorption, (6) effect of facilitating agents (cobalt phthalocyanine, cobalt porphyrin) on gas permeation through glassy polymeric membranes, (7) modeling and simulation of separation processes.
