Short Term Course on "Recent Advances in Pollution Prevention Technologies in Process Industries" 22/10/2012 To 26/10/2012

During Golden Jubilee celebrations of the institute, Department of Chemical Engineering organized a short term course (STC) from 22nd Oct to 26th Oct, 2012. The course was entitled "Recent Advances in Pollution Prevention Technologies in Process Industries".
The inaugural ceremony of the course was addressed by the Chief Guest, Shri Yaduvendra Mathur, IAS, Chairman and Managing director Rajasthan financial corporation and Principal Secretary Finance (Budget) to Govt. of Rajasthan and the Guest of Honor, Prof. S.N Upadhyay ex director IT, BHU and currently visiting professor of Chemical engineering at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Raibareli. The ceremony was also graced by Prof. I.K. Bhat, Director MNIT Jaipur.
The STC was highly successful, in terms of number of participants and quality of lectures delivered. A total of 68 participants registered for the course. Apart from Rajasthan participants from other states such as UP, MP, Punjab, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Maharashtra were also there.
The course was addressed by various speakers from IITs, NITs and industry. Many learned faculty members of the MNIT Jaipur also shared their knowledge with the participants. Around 17 expert lectures covering various aspects of pollution prevention technologies and environment management in chemical process industries were delivered.
The objective of the course was to provide a forum for exchange of information on recent advances in pollution prevention technologies among the experts & participants from technical institutes and industry.
