OSA student chapter of MNIT Jaipur is one of the most active student chapters in India and was established in the year of 2013. Since inception, the center is providing a common platform for young and professional researchers to attend and deliver joint research and exchange of ideas in various areas of optical and photonics.
In the first week of September (1-2) 2016, the OSA Ambassador, Dr. Antigone Marino from Physical Science Department of Federico II, University of Naples (ITALY) visited MNIT Jaipur and delivered a series of lectures for members (students and faculty) of OSA Student Chapter. She covered one professional talk on "Everything you always wanted to know about research, but were afraid to ask" and one technical talk "The never-ending story of Liquid Crystals, from display technology to telecom application" During her visit, Dr. Antigone and faculties of MNIT Jaipur also went into an informal discussion about the possibilities of collaborative research between MNIT Jaipur and the Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems (ISASI) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR)..
