Sankalp Se Sidhi- Yeh India ka Time Hai 08/09/2017 To 08/09/2017

To commemorate 70 years of Independence and with a view to ushering in 'New India by 2022' a special program named 'Yeh India ka Time Hai' was planned by the MHRD include within its fold two programs :'New India Manthan' a brain storming session and a 'Rock Concert' . Sankalp Ki Siddhi was the motto of the program which began with students and staff pledged to create a charismatic and consolidated country, one which will provide meaning to the sacrifices and efforts of our Freedom Fighters and make India, a nation of power and prosperity.
The crowd pledged to build a 'New India' which would be a clean, poverty free, corruption free, terrorism free, communlism free and casteism free India.
MNIT was one of the institutions to be selected to host the program .In this connection for organizing the rock band performance MNIT was to be the host.MNIT in coordination with NFDC organised the rock concert with 'Azaadi Band' playing patriotic tunes. The event was organised on 8th September 2017 as per the directives of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the college's Central Lawn.
The event's delicacy was oozed in by a Radio Jockey from Red FM 98.3, who blended entertainment with patriotism and drew the focus towards the stage. A comedy set by the college students followed and while the band prepared backstage and the students drew bubbles of energy and excitement, the Director, Mr. Uday Kumar Yaragatti and Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Dilip Sharma along with the students, pledged for a new and better India.
The band finally took over the stage and during a set of about 10 songs which made for a power packed one and a half hours, there wasn't a single body at rest. Students danced and sang and jumped in exhilaration to the music, and as the band drew towards its end, all that could be heard was the air echoing in 'Once more, once more...'
This was followed by a short performance of the college's band INSYNC, with their thunderous performance adding to the flavors of the evening. The event ended with a magnitude of selfies and hooting and even though the students essentially witnessed a rock performance, the tones of patriotism and pride settled subtly beneath the skins, giving their dripping faces a warm glow.
