Achievement by MNIT Students in TATA Motors MindRover Competition 27/02/2015 To 27/02/2015

A team, comprising of students, namely Karsh Tharyani, Maharishi Kant Mishra and Ansh Kathpalia, from the "CAD-CAE Society" of the Mechanical Engineering Department and the Research & Robotics Group "ZINE" participated in the MindRover, an event organized by TATA MOTORS. In this event UG students of institutes from all over the country, including NITs, IITs, are invited to present their innovative ideas that could be applied to the pool of TATA Motors vehicles such as passenger vehicles, trucks, buses or any such automobiles. The concept of this event is that: "The innovation, small or big, if be worthy shall be brought to applicability". The MNIT team qualified amongst the top 5 nationalists for the finale held at Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune on 27 February, 2015, and ultimately won the Nationals by bagging the first prize. The team presented their innovative idea on "how to eliminate drunk and driving cases by testing a drunkard person for his/her motor skills through his/her mental as well as physical awareness". Apart from winning a chance for each team member to sit in Pre- Placement interview for TATA Motors, the team also won a prize money of Rs. 1,00,000.
