Jitendra Jaisawal and Jitesh Jangir student of B Tech Mechanical Engineering 3rd year were selected for one week Autodesk boot camp. The Boot Camp was held at Dayanand Sagar University in Banglore from 24th - 29th June 2016. The Boot Camp including travel and stay was fully funded by Autodesk and was based on the theme of "Design Now". The selections were made based on the involvement of the students in current projects under various mentoring faculties, where the industry experts trained the students on state of the art design tools specific to their current projects. At boot camp the students modeled, engineered and submitted their project designs using Fusion 360. Jitendra Jaisawal designed the improved design of Jaipur foot and Jitesh Jangir designed solar harnessing system. This process also helped them to become student experts and Autodesk Fusion Catalyst. On last day all the participants were asked to present their projects in front of a jury of academicians and industry experts . Faculty mentor of these students and jury member of the program Dr. Harlal Singh Mali, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering commented such programs have not only technically helped the students but made them more confident and will go a long way in being the problem solvers of the society as a professional.
