It's not every day that an internationally acclaimed sports personality walks down the aisle of our college auditorium on a usual Friday.
On the 2nd of September 2016, the talented Samantha Gash, first female and the youngest person to complete the Planet's 4 Desert Racing and a Grand slam in one calendar year. Jhonty Rhodes-a former South African Test Series player and ODI Cricketer, who has the 3rd highest success rate since 1999 Cricket Word Cup, graced the Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur for an interactive session. The students were also introduced to the newly founded Rotaract Club of MNIT, Jaipur. The guest panel also included Dr. Vinod Garg, President of the Rotaract Club and Sh. Mahendra Bhatia, our alumnus and Vice-President of the club and Sh. Mukesh Mishra, the founder of the Jaipur Marathon.
The event began with the auspicious lighting of lamp by the Director, MNIT and honourable guests. It was followed by a group photo and melodious performance by Pranav Bhatia, Amit Kumar and Rishabh Naman that struck the chord in the heart of everyone present.
Diving into the interactive session with radiating enthusiasm followed by a glimpse of Jaipur Marathon that filled the audience with the same vigour. Mr. Mahendra presented the charter of the Rotaract Club for everyone present there. Ms. Samantha soon took the stage to inspire and motivate the studens by speaking about her achievements.
