1. Please read all the Information and instructions provided along with the Online Application portal Requirement for the documents/certificates, Check list and performa in the advertisement carefully.
2. The short listing of the candidate has been done on the basis of claims made by candidate in the On line application form submitted by him/her pending physical verification. Any mismatch between the claim and the original certificate shall lead to rejection of the candidature and he/she shall not be entitled for presentation/interview and reimbursement of fare.
3. Each candidate should carry with him/her rail tickets for reimbursement claim of TA.
4. The shortlisted candidate have to bring self signed copy of On Line Form submitted, original documents with one set of self attested copies will have to be produced at the time of presentation and interview for verification. This hard copy of the form should be affixed with a recent passport size photograph.

The verification of the documents and all claims as submitted in the online form shall be done. On successful completion of verification candidate shall be allowed for the presentations in the Department.
7. Each shortlisted candidate shall be required to make presentation of around 15 minutes in front of the departmental committee one day prior to the date of interview. Each shortlisted candidate should come prepared with such a presentation of his/her own choice.
8. Candidates has to submit a research proposal (500 words) reflecting the research intent and methodology to be adopted to achieve the objectives along with hard copy of the form.
9. For the shortlisted candidates the Institute has made Stay arrangements in the Student Hostel (Aurobindo for Boys and Gargi for Girls) free of cost. They will need to pay for the food only at the actual basis. After their arrival they should report directly to the respctive hostel offices. However they may choose to stay outside the Campus at their own cost, if required.

Q 1. Applicability of AGE limit vide Point Number 5.

A. AGE LIMIT (Not exceeding 35 years): This age limit is applicable only for the entry level Grade Pay of Rs. 6000/= for the post of Assistant Professor.
For the first round, age limit shall be applicable AS ON CLOSING DATE for the standing advertisement i.e. 21.05.2012. Since this is a standing advertisement, for subsequent rounds, the  deciding date for the age limit  shall be the closing date of the subsequent rounds.

SUMMARY

A short term course was organized in the Department of Electrical Engineering from 19^th to 23^rd December, 2011. The course was entitled “Power System Restructuring and Electricity Markets”.

The inaugural ceremony of the course was addressed by the Chief Guest, Sh. Shailendra Agarwal, CMD, RVPNL, and the Guest of Honour, Prof. S.L. Surana, Director (Acad.) SKIT Jaipur. The speakers lauded the course content and stressed the need to organize more such programmes for the industry personnel and the academia.

The STC was highly successful, in terms of number of participants and quality of lectures delivered. A total of 72 participants registered for the course. These included participants from POSOCO (A subsidiary of PGCIL), Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited, Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited, and from IIT /Government Engineering Colleges /Self funded academic institutions situated in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat and Rajasthan, along with a large number of institutional participants.

The course was addressed by various speakers from IITs, NITs and industry. These included Prof. S.N. Singh, IIT Kanpur, Prof. N.P. Padhy, IIT Roorkee, Dr. R.C. Bansal, The University of Queensland, Australia, Dr. Ashwini Kumar, NIT Kurukshetra, Dr. A.R. Abhyankar, IIT Delhi, Dr. Naran Pindoriya, IIT Gandhinagar, and Mr Lakshminarayana, Power Exchange India Limited, Mumbai.

The course content was a reflection of a variety of industry relevant issues. Initially, a general introduction to the issue of power sector deregulation was provided, followed by a reflection of state of art in Indian and world power scenario. Issues of contextual relevance like Smart Grids and Carbon Trading were also discussed. This was followed by a detailed discussion on short term power market in India and different restructuring models adopted worldwide. The speakers discussed in depth on trading and bidding strategies, risk management, market power, ancillary services, available transfer capability, congestion management, renewable energy certificates, load and price forecasting, and transmission and distribution pricing. The professionals from the industry provided an excellent view of the operation of power exchanges and pools, trading mechanism, financial derivatives and different products being traded in the exchange.

The course was well received and the participants were appreciative of the subject matter delivered and its relevance to the present day electricity markets.

The papers covered a broad range of topics that include, structural dynamics, structural stability, computational and experimental methods, inverse problems, smart materials and structures, earthquake engineering, and nano & bio mechanics. Centralized Admission PG Information Brochure 2011-12

Subject: Regarding authenticated access and acceptable user policy for all the authorized users of MNIT Internet and CWN resources.

This is as per discussions and approval of Head Central Computer Center, MNIT Jaipur that as per the mandatory requirement MNIT is switching to authenticated user access policy. In the authenticated system, all the authorised users shall be required to obtain an LDAP password necessary for accessing Internet through MNIT Internet Gateway.

For this all authenticated users (students, specially) of MNIT Jaipur shall be distributed with the initial LDAP password on production and verification of Institute ID Card. For this all students are requested to report to CCL-II in Design Center along with their Institute ID, they shall be issued initial passwords on showing, the schedule for the same shall be as follows:

1. Students all Year all branches: CCL-2 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (20, 21 and 22 April 2011 from 9 am to 9 pm) as per the schedule available on Institute website .

2. All the faculty and staff members shall be provided separately with their account details through their departmental offices.

The initial planned switch over to authenticated system shall take place between, 12:00 noon till 8:00 pm on April 23, 2011 to check the load and efficiency of the system.
The help desk number shall be 2713481/2713483 from 9:00am-5:00pm on April 23, 2011.

All the authorised users of MNIT shall be able to:
Change their initial passwords on their first login while they come to CCL 2 for verification.. All the users should provide correct secondary email id, which will be required for regeneration of their lost passwords.

Please remember the LDAP passwords soon shall be used for Internet access through proxy and also Single Sign On at central facilities.

All the users should not share their passwords.
