II Mid-Term Examination Odd Semester 2012-13

All new admissions in the Undergraduate/Postgraduate programs stating July, 2012, kindly fill Student Identity Card Detail Form, the information is required to generate Student Identity Card. For this you would be require to upload your passport size photograph of size less than 1MB (it should be of color quality with clear face and neck) and must be in (100X120) pixel dimension.

Link for the same is “http://portal.mnit.ac.in/misv3.1/student/” or click the link then select Quick Links in menu bar and choose ID Card Details Form option. To get into the system every student need to use LDAP authentication and corrected Institute ID.

Last date extended from October 5th,2012 to October 20, 2012

Time table for I mid term examination of Computer Aided Engineering Drawing

Group of volunteer students, who wish to develop an “MNIT Students’ Forum” website which will be linked with the institute website, may send their willingness to “mnitwebmaster@gmail.com”.

Altair is going to deploy Cloud Computing Solution on the CED workstations. Any III/IV yr students, who wish to learn its implementation, may send their willingness to “mnitwebmaster@gmail.com”. The implementation will start from Monday, 17th September.

The Centre of Excellence for Design (CED) is open from 8.00 AM to 12.00 Midnight, all seven days of week.

State of the art Design softwares are available in this lab for students to learn/practice.

Students are also provided a lab in CED to browse internet or do their computational work.

Renewal of Top Class SC/ST Scholarship

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India have been implementing the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of “Top class education for SC/ST students”. The students who had been admitted during the academic years 2008-9 , 2009-10, 2010-2011, 2011-2012 and who were granted Top class SC/ST Scholarship are advised to submit their application for renewal of the above scholarship for the years 2010-2011, 2011-12 and 2012-2013, if due. The application should be given in the prescribed format (may be obtained from the office of the scholarship cell of DSW Office) latest by 3/09/2012 positively. The documents to be attached with the application are progress report, income certificate, receipts for boarding & lodging charges etc. for concerned years.

If, application is not submitted by above date, it will be treated /Presumed that the student is not interested for above noted top class scholarship during the academic year i.e. 2012-2013and other year.

Fresh Proposals for Top Class SC/ST Scholarship

The SC/ST students who have secured admission in the Institute on the basis of their ranks obtained by them in AIEEE during the academic year 2012-2013 are advised to apply for the above scholarship in the prescribed format(may be obtained from the office of the scholarship cell of DSW Office) latest by 3/09/2012 positively.

The following documents should be attached with the application

1. Income certificate (Original)

(Total family income of the student from all sources should not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh per annum for ST and Rs. 4.50 lakh for SC students)

1. Caste certificate (Xerox copy)
2. Rank obtained in AIEEE

If, application is not submitted by above date, it will be treated /Presumed that the student is not interested for above noted top class scholarship during the academic year i.e. 2012-2013 and other year.

Nurture Talent and Confluence – Business Summit of IIM-A present Entrepreneurship Workshops

To further this spirit of entrepreneurship among students across India, Nurture Talent Academy in association with Confluence – International Business Summit of IIM Ahmedabad, is conducting a series of workshops titled “Idea to Execution”. The Grand Finale of Masterplan will be held at IIM Ahmedabad from 30 November – 2 December 2012.
Malaviya National Institute of Technology will be zonal center for entrepreneurship workshop to be held on 12th & 13th September 2012.

All students who need a challan of difference amount because  of loan or otherwise should contact following at Computer Engineering Department.

Student should bring Fee Challan (Institute and Hostel) as generated by MIS. Challan(s) should be verified by Academic Section. Students should also bring Demand Draft issued by bank. A copy of all documents shall be preserved by MIS team for records.

These difference challans shall be generated only for students who

1. have to pay fee with Education loan.
2. have been previously registered as dayscholar and now intended to register for campus hostel accommodation.
3. have to deposit any dues either hostel or institute.
4. have been provided fee waiver. (Please bring documents to support this)

Can come on Monday 23 July,2012 to Computer Engineering Department for registration and challan generation with approval/permission letter from respective sections (Academic/Hostel authorities) .

MNIT has the following hostels and residential facilities on campus:

• Eight Boys hostels
• One Mega Hostel for abut 1000 rooms for boys
• Two blocks of Girls Hostel
• One Mega Hostel for about 400 rooms for Girls
• One PG Hostel consisting 16 rooms
• One block of 8 studio flats provide limited facility for married students accommodation

Among all the hostels 07 messes are currently running through mess council. The hostels are managed by a team of wardens, mess assistants and care takers.
