Vision
Development of a state-of-art research and development centre catering to the needs of rural
India by technology adaptation and rejuvenating traditional technologies through innovation
and adaptation.
Mission
- M1. To develop new technologies and deploy them for rural India
- M2. Sustainable livelihood through Skill development of rural youth
- M3. Documentation, validation and adoption of traditional knowledge for its scientific
implementation in rural society
Objectives
- Developing water and energy security solutions for rural Rajasthan. (M1)
- Solutions for providing sustainable rural infrastructure and waste management. (M1,
M2)
- Small scale entrepreneurship, sustainable cottage industries, development of value
added Agro-products. Innovation in Food Processing, Food Packaging, and Food
Storage. (M2)
- Harnessing Forest products and helping rural entrepreneurs to develop and sell their
products with easy market access. (M2, M3)
- Developing user-friendly interfaces to launch e-platforms for various rural activities
that require outreach to larger communities. (M1)
- Evaluation of government welfare schemes to provide appropriate policy
recommendations. Access and opportunities for providing gender equality. (M2)
- Outreach to NGOs, Govt organizations, and international bodies to have a broad-based
engagement approach, at the same time networking with similar national and
international bodies. (M2)
- Documentation and approval of customary information framework alongside ability
advancement and preparing programs for further developing effectiveness and
efficiency of rural craftsmen’s, experts and so on. Recognizing holes among abilities
and effort; Identifying gaps between skills and outreach; and facilitate in filling that gap
with consideration to reverse migration. (M3)
